How To Pay a Maharashtra Challan Online
Once you’ve found a pending challan on mahatrafficechallan.gov.in, select it and click Pay Now. You can pay by UPI, net banking, or debit/credit card, and a receipt is generated after payment; save or download it. You can also pay through the national eChallan Parivahan portal, since Maharashtra challans are linked to the same national database.
Paying Offline
You can also pay in person at your nearest traffic police station or division, carrying the challan number or vehicle details and, if you have it, a copy of the SMS or paper challan.
How Long Do You Have To Pay?
Maharashtra generally gives 30 days from the date of issue to pay an e-challan. Unpaid challans can affect your driving licence and vehicle registration, and repeated non-payment can escalate to court action. Clear challans promptly, especially before applying for RC renewal, ownership transfer or a NOC.
